Paramount Pictures has announced that the “Star Wars: Into the Storm” film will arrive on May 10, 2019, marking the first time in franchise history that the film has been released on the same day as another Star Wars film.
The film, directed by Alex Kurtzman, will be released by Disney-Lucasfilm.
It stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamby, Zoe Saldana, Gwendoline Christie, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Gwilym Woodbine, Emilia Clarke, Domhnall Gleeson, Laura Dern, and Kenny Baker.
The announcement comes a week after “Star Trek Into Darkness” hit theaters.

Divided” will be available on VOD on May 20, 2019.
The release will be followed by “Star Force: The Legacy of Jedi” on May 21, 2019 and “StarWars.
Force.” on May 23, 2019 (all times Eastern).
The “Star Empire” movie will be a sequel to the first movie, and will follow a group of rebel fighters who are dispatched to fight against the Empire.
It will also be set during the time period of the “New Order.”
The “Rebel” movie has been set to begin shooting this summer.
